    Rules:

    • Shift starts after any period of 8+ hours off duty/sleeper/waiting
    • Driver must not drive after 15 hours on duty/driving since the start of shift
    • Driver must not drive more than 10 hours of the 15 hours in a shift
    • Cycle starts 8 days before the end of the current day
    • Driver must not drive after 80 hours on duty/driving since the cycle started
    • Farm/school bus exception allows for a 16-hour shift limit

    Exceptions:

    Farm/School Bus Exception 

    Cycle Resets:

    None

    Split Sleeper berth:

    Split sleeper is when there are 2 sleeper periods totaling 8+ hours where each period is 2-8 hours and restarts the shift after the first of the two periods.
