    Introduction

The task of managing frozen cards when Drivers or vehicles are deactivated in the system is a common challenge for Fleet Managers. With the latest update, Fleet Admins and Fleet Managers can now unassign and reassign cards seamlessly, reducing delays and simplifying the card allocation process.

Note: This article applies to both Driver and Vehicle cards.

Steps: Unassigning Motive Card from Fleet Dashboard

    Automatic Unassignment

    • When a Fleet Manager deactivates a specific Driver or vehicle, the associated Driver card or Vehicle card is automatically unassigned. This process can also be applied in bulk, allowing multiple Drivers or vehicles to be deactivated at once.

    • When this automatic unassignment occurs, a notification is sent to the Fleet Dashboard about the unassignment of Driver/vehicle cards.
    • This streamlines card management and ensures that Fleet Managers can quickly and efficiently reallocate cards as needed.

    • The Fleet Managers can open the Notifications and view the unassigned cards in the Card Management tab under Cards.

    Manual Unassignment

    1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click the Admin icon at the bottom left corner.

    2. Click the Products dropdown menu from the left-hand side menu.

    3. Click Cards.

    4. Click the Card Management tab.

    5. Choose the card you want to unassign from the list and click the three dots on the right side.
    6. Select Unassign card from the dropdown menu.

    7. A confirmation message pops up asking the reason for unassigning.

    8. Select the desired reason.

    9. Click Unassign.

    10. A green colored confirmation message appears on the top of the screen. The card is unassigned successfully.

    11. When you hover over the unassigned card, a tooltip appears with details. It includes the reason for unassignment, the person who performed the unassignment, and the date of unassignment.
