How to enable vehicle immobilization using Mobile Web Browser

    Introduction

    The Motive Engine Immobilizer helps Fleet Managers improve vehicle security and reduce theft risk. Users can control the immobilizer directly from the Fleet Dashboard. Currently, the Engine Immobilizer is not supported on the Fleet App. To check the installation of the Engine Immobilizer, follow these steps

     

    1. Login to the Motive Fleet Dashboard through the Mobile Browser App.

    2. Navigate to the Admin Settings and select Vehicles.

    3. Find the vehicle from the list, tap the three dots icon, and select ‘View Profile.’

    4. On the Vehicle Profile, tap the three dots icon in the top left corner and select ‘Immobilize.’

    5. Tap ‘Immobilize.’ The vehicle will be immobilized when the engine shuts off.

    6. If the engine is running, a Pending Immobilization prompt will appear on the Vehicle Profile.

    7. Once the engine is off, the immobilization process will be completed, and an Immobilized prompt will appear on the Vehicle Profile.

    8. To mobilize the vehicle, tap the Mobilize Button in the prompt message.

    If the commands you sent to the Engine Immobilizer were executed correctly, the installation is complete. You can start using the engine immobilizer without any hesitation.
