    Introduction

While submitting the current day timecard, it is recommended that the Driver clocks out their current day and then submits the timecard. If they forget to do so, Drivers remain in a clocked-in state the next day even when they are not working.

Steps: Correcting hours worked when a driver forgets to clock out

For example, if a Driver forgets to clock out on Aug 17th  and notices a clocked-in entry starting from midnight on Aug 18th, they can follow these steps to correct it:

    1. Log in to the Motive Driver App.
    2. Access the left panel by tapping on the menu icon.
    3. Select Timecards.

    1. Choose the timecard for the day.

Scenario 1: If the driver is clocked in from midnight but started working at 8 AM

    1. Swipe right on 12:00 AM timecard entry and tap Edit.

    2. In the Edit dialog, set the Status to Clock In.

    3. Enter the Start Time as the time you began working (for example, 8:00 AM).

    4. Enter the End Time as the time you finished working that day (for example, 4:00 PM).

    5. Add Notes if you want to keep your fleet informed about the change.

    6. Tap Save. You can now see updated entries for the July 11th Timecard.

    7. Review the entries and if all looks good, tap Submit timecard.

    8. Provide your signature and tap Certify & Submit.

Scenario 2: If the driver is clocked in from midnight of July 11th, but was actually on time off that day and returned on July 12th

    1. Swipe right on the July 11th timecard entry and tap Edit.

    1. In the Edit a timecard entry screen, scroll down and tap Delete.

    1. The timecard entry for July 11th no longer appears.

    1. Tap Submit Timecard.

    1. Provide your signature and tap Certify & Submit. This submits your July 11th timecard with 0 hours worked, reflecting that you were not on duty that day.
