What is an In-cab Alerts Report?

    Introduction

    In-cab Alerts Report helps fleets enhance visibility into Driver safety behaviors. This report allows Fleet Managers to monitor these alerts, helping them to identify trends, improve Driver safety, and take proactive measures to reduce risky behaviors on the road.

     

    How In-cab Alerts Report helps you

    • Fleets can use this report to observe trends in Driver behavior over time.
    • Fleet Managers and Fleet Admins can identify common issues across the fleet and implement targeted safety initiatives to address them.

     

    In-cab Alerts Report overview

    1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click Reports.

    2. Click Browse and then click Safety.

    3. Click the In-cab Alerts report.

    4. The report shows the total count of alerts from unsafe behaviors. The report can be filtered by:

    • Time Period
    • Driver Name
    • Vehicle
    • Group

    The In-cab Alerts Report shows the following fields:

    Column Name Description
    Acceleration Harsh acceleration is monitored to identify aggressive driving that can lead to loss of control.
    Braking Hard braking is tracked as it may indicate poor driving practices or sudden, unexpected stops.
    Cell Phone Phone use while driving is flagged as a major distraction that increases accident risks.
    Close Following Tailgating is monitored as it reduces reaction time and raises the likelihood of collisions.
    Cornering Harsh cornering is identified as it can result in vehicle instability and rollovers.
    Distraction Any distraction, such as phone use, is tracked to minimize attention lapses that increase accident risks.
    Seat Belt Violations Not wearing a seat belt is a serious safety violation that significantly increases crash injury risk.
    Speeding Speeding is tracked as it reduces reaction time and exacerbates accident severity.
    Stop Sign Violations Running stop signs is monitored as it greatly increases the risk of intersection collisions.

    The arrows beside each number indicate the changed percentage of the total count of alerts from the previous time period.
