Introduction
The Edit Category option enables Fleet Managers to edit and update the category of any posted miscellaneous transaction. This helps to remove existing restrictions that previously limited edits to specific transaction types and single-line item transactions. This feature also allows an accurate reconciliation of expenses and ensures better IFTA purchase creation for fuel categories.
Steps: Enabling the Edit Category option for all transactions
Adding single item
1. Log in to the Motive Fleet Dashboard.
2. Click Cards in the left-hand side menu.
3. Click the Transactions tab.
4. Click to open a transaction labeled as Misc. in the Category.
5. Click Edit in the Itemized Receipt section.
6. The Edit item categories box displays. Click the Category dropdown and select the required Category.
7. Add the quantity in the QTY field.
8. Add the Amount.
9. Click Save.
The changes in the Misc. transaction are now saved.
Adding multiple items
1. Follow steps 1 to 8 from the above section.
2. Once done, click Add.
3. Select the Category from the dropdown.
4. Add the quantity in the QTY field.
5. Add the Amount.
6. Click Save.
The changes in the Misc. transaction are now saved.
