Introduction
Two-factor authentication, also known as 2-step verification, adds an extra layer of security to the Motive account beyond the password. When 2-factor authentication is enabled, users are required to complete a second step to verify their identity when signing in, using a code sent to their email address or to their mobile number. This makes it complex for unauthorized users to access the account, even if they know the password.
Steps: 2-factor authentication on the Motive account
- Go to the Motive website www.gomotive.com. On the Log in screen, add your Email or Username and Password in the required fields.
- Click or tap Log In.
- Choose the verification method from the options displayed on the screen. Select the required method.
- Click or tap Next.
- You're sent a verification code via email or a text message to the registered email address and phone number on your account.
- Enter this code in the boxes displayed on the Two-factor authentication screen.
- Click or tap Verify.
Once verified, you can use your Motive account.
