How to use the 2-factor authentication on the Motive account

    Introduction

    Two-factor authentication, also known as 2-step verification, adds an extra layer of security to the Motive account beyond the password. When 2-factor authentication is enabled, users are required to complete a second step to verify their identity when signing in, using a code sent to their email address or to their mobile number. This makes it complex for unauthorized users to access the account, even if they know the password. 

     

    Steps: 2-factor authentication on the Motive account

    1. Go to the Motive website www.gomotive.com. On the Log in screen, add your Email or Username and Password in the required fields.
    2. Click or tap Log In.

    1. Choose the verification method from the options displayed on the screen. Select the required method.
    2. Click or tap Next.

    1. You're sent a verification code via email or a text message to the registered email address and phone number on your account.

    1. Enter this code in the boxes displayed on the Two-factor authentication screen. 
    2. Click or tap Verify.

    Once verified, you can use your Motive account.
