More Granular Coaching Permissions

Introduction

Motive introduces new coaching permissions to allow for a more granular control over specific workflow actions for coaching on Safety Events and HOS Logs for Drivers
 

What’s New?

This enhancement introduces new permissions on Coaching to bifurcate specific workflow actions that coaches need to perform on the Motive platform. These permissions are:

  • Mark Events as Coachable (under ‘Coach Safety Events’)
  • Conduct Coaching Sessions (under ‘Coach Safety Events’)
  • Mark Events as Coachable or Dismissed or Not Coachable (under ‘Coach Logs’)
  • Conduct Coaching Sessions (under ‘Coach Logs’)

Mark Events as Coachable (under ‘Coach Safety Events’)

  • Fleet Managers with this permission are only allowed to mark Safety Events as Coachable. Thus allowing them to be the decision makers of whether a Safety Event qualifies for coaching.

Conduct Coaching Sessions (under ‘Coach Safety Events’)

  • Fleet Managers with this permission can go to the Coaching Hub and coach Drivers on Safety Events. This permission unlocks a more operational aspect whereby coaches only get to coach instead of deciding whether a Safety Event is coachable or not.

Mark Logs as Coachable or Dismissed or Not Coachable (under ‘Coach Logs’)

  • Fleet Managers with this permission are only allowed to mark HOS Logs as Coachable or Dismissed or Not Coachable. Thus allowing them to be the decision makers of whether a HOS Log qualifies for coaching.

Conduct Coaching Sessions (under ‘Coach Safety Events’)

  • Fleet Managers with this permission can go to the Coaching Hub and coach Drivers on HOS Logs only.

  • This feature streamlines the coaching process, ensuring that Safety Events and Logs are efficiently triaged and addressed by the appropriate personnel.
  • It provides Fleet Admins and Fleet Managers with better control and visibility over their coaching programs, leading to more focused and effective driver coaching, improved safety, and HOS compliance.
  • This clear separation of roles enhances accountability and optimizes the use of Motive’s coaching tools for all customers.
