Introduction
Motive is introducing AI-powered document capture for trip documents, making it faster and easier to bring fuel receipts and bills of lading into Motive. Drivers can upload documents on the go in the Motive Driver App, and fleet users can upload them from the Fleet Dashboard. Motive's AI automatically reads each document and extracts the key information you need. This helps reduce manual data entry and creates more accurate, consistent records for compliance, IFTA reporting, and accounting.
What's New?
- Two new AI-powered trip document templates: Fuel receipt and bill of lading.
- AI-powered data extraction: Upload a photo or file, and Motive's AI automatically captures the key fields such as price, quantity, jurisdiction, and location for fuel receipts and delivery details for bills of lading and saves them alongside the original attachment.
- Manual option for Fuel Receipt information: A manual entry option is available when a printed receipt isn't available, for example, during pump printer failures or at private fueling stations that don't produce receipts at all.
- Streamlined review: Documents missing a required field are automatically flagged as Needs Review so fleet users can quickly validate and complete them in the Documents hub.
How does this help our customers?
- Saves time: Drivers capture documents in the moment, and AI handles the data entry, getting trip paperwork into Motive and into your reporting faster.
- Increases accuracy: Reduces manual typing for drivers and fleet teams, minimizing the errors and compliance risks that come with manual entry.
- Improved organization and IFTA readiness: Creates structured, consistent records that are easy to find in the Documents hub, with fuel data that continue to flow into IFTA reporting and the Fuel Intelligence Hub.
