Introduction
Motive’s Smart Trip Match uses advanced AI technology to match drivers to unidentified trips and automatically assigns them to the driver for approval within hours.
All log edits created by Smart Trip Match are suggested as Driving (D) events for drivers who manage electronic logs. If the driving event needs to be edited and reclassified as Personal Conveyance (PC) or Yard Move (YM) to remain compliant, please follow the steps below.

Steps: Editing a Smart Trip Match Driving (D) event into Personal Conveyance (PC) or Yard Move (M)
1. Locate the driving record and tap on the driving log entry to expose the Edit (blue) and Undo (red) buttons on the left. Tap Edit (blue) to begin reclassifying the Driving event.
2. Under Duty Status, select either Personal Conveyance (PC) or Yard Move (YM) and tap Save to complete the reclassification.
3. Tap OK in the confirmation prompt to complete the reclassification, or Cancel to go back to the Edit screen.
4. After confirming the edit, the driving event is reclassified.
Please note: The driving event will be reassigned to the Unidentified Driver Profile, and then automatically reassigned back to the log as the new duty status classification is selected. All log changes will be properly recorded in both the log PDF and output file.
