Introduction
Safety Score settings are updated to improve Driver accountability and safety performance.
- Full AI behavior visibility: All non-beta AI behaviors are now visible in the Safety Score settings by default.
- New Safety Score defaults: Fleets can choose between Dual-facing and Road-facing camera defaults. The new defaults have higher weights for Driver-controllable behaviors, like cell phone usage and stop sign violations, which greatly impact the Safety Score.
- Transition: The existing Safety Scores and weights remain unchanged, with the option to switch to the new defaults at any time.
New Safety Score defaults Overview
New defaults have increased weights for coachable and preventable behaviors. This helps fleets better evaluate risk and coach Drivers. The weight of hard braking is reduced which is a reactive behavior and is harder to coach, while the weight of Driver-controllable behaviors is increased.
Fleets can choose between Dual-facing and Road-facing camera defaults.
- Dual-facing cameras: Higher weights for cell phone usage, close following, stop sign violation, seat belt violation, and distraction.
- Road-facing cameras: Higher weights for close following, stop sign violation, and speeding.
