Locate My Asset on Motive Fleet Dashboard

    Introduction

    The Locate My Asset feature allows Fleet Admins and Fleet Managers to request immediate location pings from Asset Gateway 31 (Asset Gateway Mini) devices, bypassing the standard 12-hour ping interval. It is available on both Motive Fleet Dashboard and Motive Fleet App. This feature is particularly useful for the following:

    • Theft prevention
    • Locating misplaced assets
    • Conducting yard hunts on large job sites

     

    Steps: Locate My Asset on Motive Fleet Dashboard

    1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click Fleet View from the left-hand menu.

    2. In the Live section, select an asset.

    3. Click Refresh to request the live location of the selected asset.

    Note: For older AG Mini versions, activation is required. Please contact Motive Support to activate it.
    Note: Updating an asset's location typically takes about 4 minutes. In some cases, it can take up to 15 minutes. Requests not fulfilled within 15 minutes get timed out. When the request is resolved, you receive a notification of success or failure.
