Introduction
This feature helps prevent misuse of yard moves and ensures that Drivers remain in compliance with regulations
What’s New?
Drivers must be in a designated geofenced area to select Yard Move as their duty status. If they’re not within a geofenced Yard, they receive an error message, preventing them from switching to Yard Move.
- Drivers can only select the Yard Move status when they are inside a geofenced yard which is categorized as Terminal/Yard.
- If the Driver is not found inside the geofenced yard, they can't change their duty status to Yard Move.
How does this help our customers?
This enhancement ensures that duty status changes are accurate, enhancing compliance and safety by preventing unauthorized Yard Move status outside a defined Yard area. It also automates status switching, reverting from Yard Move to Driving once the Driver exits the geofenced Yard.
Rollout Plan or Feature Go-Live date?
This feature requires Drivers to be on version 79 of the Motive Driver App, which can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
