    The Standalone Omnicam is rolling out to customers starting November 27th, 2024.

     

    Introduction

    Standalone Omnicam is an enhanced, flexible version of the AI Omnicam, now available for independent deployment. With this update, you can assign Omnicam directly to assets without relying on a Vehicle Gateway or AI Dashcam. This streamlined setup allows for a quick, independent installation across a wide range of assets, including trailers, flatbeds, and more.

    • What’s new?
      • The Standalone Omnicam offers a new level of deployment flexibility, making it possible to assign Omnicam directly to assets without additional hardware dependencies. This feature allows Omnicam to operate independently, extending its monitoring capabilities to individual assets. 
      • Paired with an Asset Gateway, Standalone Omnicam enables zero-touch automation, allowing for seamless integration into travel groups and automatic event generation.
    • How does this help users?
      • Omnicam can now be assigned to any asset type, whether as part of a fleet or as an individual unit, expanding options for comprehensive coverage.
      • Omnicam no longer depends on additional equipment like Vehicle Gateways or AI Dashcams, simplifying setup and maintenance.
      • Direct installation on assets allows for enhanced tracking and security, giving visibility over high-value assets in any location.
      • When it is used with an Asset Gateway, Standalone Omnicam supports automatic assignment into travel groups and includes event generation for vehicles and assets, significantly reducing manual tasks.
