Carrier Transicold integration with Motive Marketplace

Introduction

The Carrier API integration with Motive is designed for customers who operate Carrier reefer units (refrigerated trailers) in their fleet. This integration enables the monitoring and control of Carrier reefers directly from the Motive Fleet Dashboard, alongside other reefers such as Thermo King units and those equipped with Motive Environmental Sensors and Door Sensors. The primary goal is to comprehensively view all reefer operations, ensuring cold chain compliance and preventing spoilage.

Note: Carrier Transicold is currently only available in the United States and Canada.

System Requirements

Carrier Transicold

  • If a Carrier telematics device is not installed in the truck, they must contact the nearest Carrier-authorized dealership.
  • If the fleet doesn’t have a Carrier API key, contact Motive support.
     

Steps: Enabling Carrier Transicold integration with Motive Marketplace

  1.  Log in to the Motive Fleet Dashboard and click Marketplace.

  1. Click OEM.
  2. Click the Carrier integration.

  1. Click Install.

  1. Add the Client ID, Client_Secret, and Ocp-apim-subscription-key, and click Install. Motive procures these keys when you activate the Carrier API subscription with Motive. The account manager can retrieve these for you.

  1. The integration is installed once the secure API keys are successfully verified. All the Carrier Reefers under your Carrier Fleet appear on this page. Fleets can also search for their assets from this page.

  1. Navigate to the Motive Fleet Dashboard section and open Fleet View. All the assets appear here. The reefer assets appear with a snowflake icon.
  2. Hover on the snowflake icon for any reefer to view settings.

  1. From the list view, click any of the reefer to view detailed reefer data on a dedicated page, including any active alarms, live temperature, and set point for those assets.

  1. Click Configuration in the central panel to adjust mode, set point, and toggle on/off your reefer by zone or altogether.

  1. Click the History tab to access detailed trip history, temperature, and set point graphs.

12. Click Reports from the left-hand-side menu and navigate to Reefer activity Report to view historical tables for any date range, including temperature and set point for each zone. 

Note: Fleet Managers/Fleet Admins can also set up Reefer Alerts from the Admin Dashboard as shown in the image below.
