AI Dashcam Customization

Introduction

We're enhancing our AI Dashcam functionality with new vehicle- and company-level customization options. These features provide granular control and override capabilities, ensuring our dashcams align perfectly with your specific operational needs and industry requirements.

Note: This feature is currently only available for certain users for beta testing.

 

What’s New?

We've introduced several new customization features for AI Dashcams, offering greater flexibility and control:

  • LED Brightness Setting (Day and Night):
    • Daytime Brightness: Adjustable in 10% increments (0% off to 100% max)
    • Nighttime Brightness: Adjustable in 10% increments (0% off to 30% max. The system automatically determines day vs. night using the Lux Index from the road-facing camera.)
  • Trip Image Frequency:
    • New dropdown options allow customization of how often trip images are captured: 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, and 60 minutes.
  • Audio Features:
    • In-Cab Alert Volume Control: Users can now set audio levels for in-cab alerts between 1 and 100
    • Language Options: Set default in-cab alert languages based on company locale, with the ability to override per vehicle and support for a secondary language to repeat alerts.
  • Engine Off Recording Configurability:
    • Light Duty Options: Set to off or from 15 minutes to 2 hours.
    • Heavy Duty Options: Set to off or from 1 hour to 24 hours in 1-hour increments.

 

How does this help our customers?

  • Enhanced Driver Comfort and Safety: Adjustable LED brightness addresses customer feedback, reducing distractions and improving driver comfort, especially during nighttime driving.
  • Granular Trip Insight: Customize trip image frequency to gain the right level of detail for trip reviews, optimizing data usage and review efficiency.
  • Improved In-Cab Experience: Control alert types, volumes, and languages to create a less intrusive or more effective alerting system based on the driving environment and driver preferences. This is especially useful for situations like rideshares or buses where passenger comfort is key.
