Mounting the Beacon

1. Use the alcohol wipes included in the box to wipe the area where you want to mount the Beacon.

2. Remove the adhesive backing from the mounting plate and attach it to the area once it has been thoroughly wiped.

3. If you are attaching the mounting plate to a metal surface, use the small mounting plate screws. In the case of wooden surfaces, use large mounting plate screws.

4. Attach the Beacon to the plate and secure it in place using the T6 device screws.

5.  Using the reset pin, press the pinhole reset button on the side of the Beacon to start the broadcasting process.

6. The LED flashes green once to indicate that broadcasting has begun.

7. In case you require further confirmation that the device is broadcasting, you can press the pinhole again. The device flashes blue once.
8. The following is an explanation of what the LEDs indicate:

LED	Indication
One green flash	The device has successfully begun broadcasting upon initial activation, following a pinhole press.
Two green flashes	The device has rebooted and has resumed broadcasting.
One blue flash	The device is still broadcasting normally, following a pinhole press.
One orange flash	An error has occurred.
One white flash	The device is updating firmware.
One red flash	The device is entering ship mode. Broadcasting has stopped to conserve power.

Installing the Beacon using the Fleet App

1. Log in to the Motive Fleet App > tap More.

2. Tap Devices.

3. Tap Install Beacon to proceed.

Installing the Beacon using the Fleet Dashboard

1. Log in to the Motive Fleet Dashboard > click Admin. 

2. Click Assets > Add Asset.

3. Click Assign Beacon.

4. Select the required Beacon > click Assign.

5. Once the Beacon has been successfully installed, the Beacon tab begins to display on the Fleet View. You may have to refresh the page if you don’t yet see your Beacon in Fleet View.  Click Beacon in the filter section. This displays the assets that have a beacon installed.
