Introduction
Motive has enhanced its Confidential Safety Events with expanded confidentiality controls, new automation capabilities, granular download permissions, and improved driver visibility, giving organizations complete control over how sensitive safety footage is protected, accessed, and managed across the platform
What’s new?
These updates extend confidentiality controls beyond individual safety event clips and introduce new automation and permission settings.
Key improvements include:
- Extended timeline confidentiality: When tagging a Safety Event as confidential, Managers can also tag additional footage surrounding the event as confidential to prevent unauthorized access to related video.
- Confidential tagging for requested videos: Organizations can now directly tag requested footage as confidential, expanding confidentiality controls beyond Safety Events.
- New download permission: A new child permission, Download Confidential Safety Events, allows Fleet Admins to control which users can download media that has been tagged confidential.
- Automatic confidential tagging for collisions: Organizations can enable a company-wide preference to automatically tag new Collisions and Near-Collision events as confidential when they are generated.
How does this help our customers?
- Improved data privacy: Protect sensitive footage related to incidents, personnel matters, or legal cases more proactively and comprehensively.
- More granular access control: Define who can view confidential safety media, but not download it onto their devices.
- Reduced manual effort: Automatically tag new collision-related events as confidential to reduce the risk of exposure more proactively.
