OVISION integration with Motive

This integration connects Motive to OVISION (via MuleSoft) for carriers hauling on behalf of Soriana in Mexico. It polls vehicle GPS locations every 60 seconds and forwards engine on/off events, speeding events, and dashcam panic-button presses as native OVISION event codes, giving Soriana continuous visibility into Motive-equipped vehicles directly inside their existing control tower.

Key Benefits

  • No second GPS device required: Motive-equipped carriers hauling for Soriana now appear in OVISION's Torre de Control automatically, eliminating the cost and hassle of running a duplicate tracking unit just to satisfy Soriana's visibility requirement.

  • Real-time, continuous tracking:  Vehicle positions report every 60 seconds regardless of engine state, so Soriana can always distinguish a parked truck from one that's lost signal.

  • No changes needed to existing alerting:  Engine on/off, speeding, and dashcam panic-button events map directly to OVISION's native event codes, so Soriana's existing alert rules keep working without reconfiguration.

  • Carrier data stays protected: Only vehicles the carrier explicitly designates for Soriana's fleet are ever shared. Carriers hauling for multiple retailers on the same Motive account don't risk exposing competitor freight to Soriana's control tower.

Requirements

  • Motive Groups: Carrier must nominate the Motive group(s) covering its Soriana-dedicated fleet — this is what scopes which vehicles are visible to OVISION
  • Vehicle Catálogo: Carrier's vehicle.number (número económico) must already be registered in UDA's catálogo, along with línea de transporte and placas
  • Vehicle Gateway hardware: Required on all Soriana-dedicated units, since the position lane uses Motive API v3
  • Motive API Key: Valid API Key for each carrier company, used to authenticate the three webhook subscriptions and the polling calls

After the customer clicks Install, the system generates a case for API Support. API Support creates a Professional Services request and routes it to the Partnership Ecosystem team. The team schedules a scoping or kickoff call with the customer, after which the enablement process begins.
