Omnicam and Pro-Vision DVR in Device hub

Introduction

Device Hub is now the single place to monitor AI Omnicam and Pro-Vision DVR hardware, alongside Motive’s other connected devices. This update enables fleets to monitor camera and DVR health across their vehicles and assets without having to switch between multiple tabs.

What’s New?

  • AI Omnicam in Device Hub: AI Omnicam devices now appear in the Device Hub Overview, Vehicles, Assets, and Cameras tabs. The Cameras tab also provides details such as lens position, connected vehicle or asset, last activity, status, and live lens previews.
  • Multi‑Cam DVR tab: A new Multi-Cam DVR tab is added to Device Hub. It displays a complete and filterable list of Pro-Vision's third-party DVRs that are used in the fleet with device details and health statuses.
  • DVR Camera device type: Details for Motive cameras connected to the Multi-Cam DVRs are accessible through the DVR Camera device type and filter.
  • Unified device status: AI Omnicam, Multi‑Cam DVR, and DVR Camera statuses align with the Device Hub status model across the Fleet Dashboard and Fleet App.
  • Troubleshooting details: Fleets can search and filter devices, review device details and history, and use status information to identify installation, assignment, power, or connectivity issues.
  • Low Vehicle Battery indicator: AI Omnicam now surfaces a low-battery warning when the device is Normal but inactive for 7+ days with low vehicle voltage.
  • Device status report: A downloadable device status report now includes AI Omnicam, Multi-Cam DVR, and DVR Camera counts and statuses.
Note: Pro‑Vision capabilities such as live preview, in-product video requests, and firmware reporting may be limited or unavailable because it is third-party hardware.

How does this help our customers?

  • Centralized device monitoring: Fleets can view camera and DVR health alongside Vehicle Gateways and other connected devices in the Device Hub.
  • Reduced status confusion: Consistent status information across Device Hub, the Fleet Dashboard, and Fleet App makes it easier to understand device health and take the right next step.
  • Faster troubleshooting: Recommended actions, device history, connection details, and AI Omnicam lens previews help fleets better investigate common issues.
  • Improved asset visibility: Fleets using AI Omnicam on trailers, reefers, or other assets can see the camera together with the asset’s connected devices.
