Introduction
Motive provides Fleet Managers/Admins to enable or disable Personal Conveyance for the vehicles directly from Fleet Dashboard. If the Fleet Managers/Admins have disabled this feature, the drivers won’t be able to use it from the Driver App. Here is how you can enable/disable this feature.
Note: Driver must be using Driver App Version V 60 or higher. |
Steps: Enabling or Disabling Personal Conveyance
Enabling Personal Conveyance for a Vehicle
1. Log in to Fleet Dashboard and select Admin.
2. Select Vehicles and select the vehicle you want to edit by selecting Edit Vehicle from the drop-down menu
3. Scroll down to the Vehicle Gateway Preferences section and check the Allow Personal Conveyance box to enable it.
Note: Vehicle Gateway must be assigned to the vehicle in order for these settings to appear. |
4. Select Save.
Disabling Personal Conveyance for a Vehicle
1. Log in to Fleet Dashboard and select Admin.
2. Select Vehicles and select the vehicle you want to edit by selecting Edit Vehicle from the drop-down menu.
3. Scroll down to the Vehicle Gateway Preferences section and uncheck the Allow Personal Conveyance box to disable it.

4. Select Save.
5. If the Allow Personal Conveyance box is unchecked and a driver connected to the vehicle tries to use the Personal Conveyance option, they would be shown a notice mentioning they are not enabled to use the special status.
Note: Motive already has a Personal Conveyance setting on the driver profile as well. If that is disabled for a driver, they will not be able to use Personal Conveyance on any vehicle, regardless of the Personal Conveyance Vehicle Setting status. |
