Introduction
Command Alkon offers vehicle tracking and dispatch solutions through its web platform called TrackIt, catering to both Exempt and HOS Log Drivers in the construction industry. TrackIt provides GPS Fleet tracking, telematics, Fleet management, and workforce management tailored for heavy building materials suppliers and haulers.
Integration Prerequisites
Before installing the integration on the Motive App Marketplace, please ensure that the following requirements are met:
- Motive Admin profiles for all Drivers/vehicles (present in Command Alkon) have been created.
- For all Vehicles: Motive Vehicle ID should match the Equipment Interface Number in the customer’s Trackit account.
- For all Drivers: Driver ID in Command Alkon and Motive should match for the same Drivers.
Steps: Enabling Common Alkon integration with Motive Fleet Dashboard
1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click Marketplace in the left-hand side menu.
2. Search for the integration by typing Command Alkon in the search bar.
3. Click the displayed search result.
4. Click Install.
5. Confirm the installation after reviewing and agreeing to Motive’s Terms of Service.
6. You will see this ‘Access Requested’ confirmation on your screen.
7. Motive’s API Support team will be in touch with you shortly after.
8. The installation requires you to have the Command Alkon API key with you. You can generate an API key for your TrackIt account by following the steps here.
9. Provide the information requested by the Motive’s Support team in order to complete the installation process.
