Introduction
The Safety Events List helps safety managers review and act on events faster. Motive aims to balance the use of videos and images (for seat belt violations and camera obstruction events) to avoid overloading safety managers with too much video content. These improvements help safety managers assess and respond to incidents more effectively.

Improved Safety Events Media Overview
The following section provides an overview of the improved Safety features:
- Video Preview Icons
- Severity Tags and Coaching Status

Video Preview Icons
A video icon is used to differentiate between video and image events. This improvement facilitates the quick identification of the media evidence available for each event.
Severity Tags and Coaching Status
Each event includes a severity tag for quickly assessing its importance. Events also have a clearer Coaching status, making it easier to identify high-priority items and take action.
Email Alerts for Events
Email alerts are triggered for all events containing media. It keeps safety managers and drivers informed about safety events in real time.
Integrated Coaching
All media events are included in coaching and auto-coaching sessions. This helps in driver behavior improvement through targeted coaching based on event evidence.
Extended Video Availability
All events allow for an extended video recall. This enables easy review and access to longer video content for each event, streamlining the assessment process for safety managers. Once the video recall is complete, you will be able to find the extended video against the same event
Steps: Viewing Safety Events Media on the Fleet Dashboard
1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click Safety from the left-hand menu.
2. Click Events to open the Safety Events List.
3. Look for the video thumbnail on eligible events. Click the Play icon to view the video in a pop-up player.
| Note: Video previews are unavailable for Camera Obstruction or Seat Belt Violation events. |
4. Review the event severity and coaching status, grouped for quick filtering and prioritization.
