Locate My Asset is being implemented through a phased rollout.
Introduction
The Locate My Asset feature allows Fleet Admins and Fleet Managers to request immediate location pings from the Asset Gateway Mini devices, bypassing the standard 12-hour ping interval. It is available on both Motive Fleet Dashboard and Motive Fleet App. This feature is useful for the following circumstances:
- Theft prevention
- Locating misplaced assets
- Conducting yard hunts on large job sites
Locate My Asset Overview
- Fleets can get real-time updates on asset locations, critical for theft prevention and asset recovery.
- Simple and intuitive UI with a Refresh button to request location updates.
- There are some battery life implications associated with this feature.
