Introduction
Driver Privacy configurations allow fleets to ensure that driver-facing dashcams are only recording when there is a need for it. Using this feature, fleets can have the following configurations for their driver-facing cameras:
- Off when the vehicle is stationary or idle
- Only record when the engine is on
- Always Off
- Always On (default)

Use Motive's Public API
1. Access the /vehicles endpoint in Motive’s Public API library under ‘driver_facing_camera.’
2. This is available for both POST and PUT endpoints:

1. Using the API, you can manage Driver Privacy based on your internal workflows.
2. For example, the driver-facing camera can be turned off each time a driver logs out of a native application that your fleet uses.
