Customize AI Dashcam Settings

Motive AI Dashcams provide advanced safety and visibility for your fleet. In this article, you'll learn how to customize various AI Dashcam settings to better suit your company's unique needs and operational environments.

Note: This feature is currently only available for certain users for beta testing.

 

Navigating to AI Dashcam settings

1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click Admin icon at the bottom left corner.

2. Click Safety from the left-hand menu to access your company details.

3. Scroll down to the Dashcams/Cameras section and click Edit.

Adjust LED Brightness for day and night

1. Locate the LED Brightness Setting (Day and Night) options.

  • For Daytime Brightness, select a percentage in 10% increments (0% for Off, up to 100% for Max brightness). 
  • For Nighttime Brightness, select a percentage in 10% increments (0% for Off, up to 30% for Max brightness). 
Note: The dashcam automatically determines day versus night by measuring surrounding light levels using the road-facing camera.

Set the frequency for trip image capture

1. Select the dropdown for Capture Trip Images under Images.

2. Select your desired frequency from the dropdown options:

  • 2 minutes 
  • 5 minutes
  • 10 minutes
  • 30 minutes
  • 60 minutes 

Customize in-cab chime and alert volume

1. Go to the Audio section.

2. Valid audio settings are between 1 and 100.

Select primary and secondary languages for alerts

1. From the Primary Language dropdown, select either English or Spanish.

2. Select a secondary language for alerts: English, Spanish, or None.

Note: For Language Options, set the default primary language for alerts. This aligns with the company's locale.

Configure engine-off recording durations

1. Navigate to the Engine Off Recording Configurability section.

2. For Light Duty Options, select from 15minutes to 2hours or uncheck the box to not record.

3. For Heavy Duty Options, choose a duration from 1 hour to 24 hours in 1-hour increments or uncheck the box to not record.
