Introduction
This update enhances the vehicle selection and connection experience in the Motive Driver App. The enhancements support more accurate identification and connection to the appropriate Vehicle Gateway, minimizing errors during the setup process.
| Note: This update is available for the Driver App version v96 or above for both Android and iOS users. For users with VG3, firmware version 103000 or above is required. |
What’s New?
We’ve redesigned the vehicle connection flow with several improvements to make the process faster, more intuitive, and informative:
- Prioritized In-Range Vehicles: Vehicles within the close range are now highlighted and sorted by signal strength for easier identification.
- Last Selected Vehicle Highlighted: If the last used vehicle is discoverable, it appears at the top of the QVS list.
- Improved Error Messaging: Connection errors now come with clearer explanations and actionable troubleshooting tips.
- iOS Accessory Guidance: Drivers using iOS receive step-by-step guidance for selecting the correct accessory during connection.
- Bluetooth Permissions Handling: Enhanced checks and guidance to address permission issues across both Android and iOS platforms.
