Removing the AI Dashcam Plus mount
By following these steps, installers can safely remove the AI Dashcam Plus mount without damaging the windshield or the mounting hardware.
- Position a plastic wedge tool between the plastic edge of the mount and the windshield. You can also spray isopropyl alcohol around the mount to loosen the bond.
- Start on one side by wedging the tool between the plastic and the windshield. Continue until you reach the metal piece located in the middle of the mount.
| Note: Stop wedging before you hit the center metal piece to prevent damage. |
- Move to the other side of the mount and repeat the wedging process, stopping before the metal center.
- Insert the wedge tool from the bottom of the mount.
| Note: Exercise extra caution during this step, as the center section contains metal. |
- Gently wiggle the tool between the windshield and mount until the adhesive releases and the mount is completely detached from the windshield.
- Use isopropyl alcohol to remove any residue left behind on the windshield from the adhesive.
