Fleet View 2.0

Introduction

Fleet View 2.0 is an enhanced Live Map experience, built to deliver faster performance, real-time visibility, and a more intuitive workflow for managing fleets at scale. It enhances how users monitor, analyze, and act on fleet data, all within a unified interface.

What’s New?

Fleet View 2.0 introduces major improvements across performance, usability, and visibility:

  • Instant load: Fleet View now loads in seconds, even for large fleets, reducing wait times when accessing the map.
  • Live tracking: Vehicle locations update more frequently, providing closer to real-time visibility for operational monitoring.
  • Smart clustering: Vehicles in dense areas are grouped automatically to reduce map clutter and improve readability.
  • Synced views: The map and list views are connected, so filters and selections stay consistent across both views.
  • Saved view: Your last map position and zoom level are saved and restored when you return.
  • Custom cards: You can configure which vehicle details appear on asset cards based on your needs.
  • Severe weather events on Live Map: Active severe weather events are surfaced as event-level polygons on the Fleet view Live Map, color-coded by event type, and available as Weather events in the Map layers.
  • One-click driver broadcast: From the weather event detail view, send a prefilled, editable broadcast to every impacted driver in your visible groups in a single action.
  • Weather event details with impacted entities: Click a weather event polygon to see an AI-generated summary, severity, start and end times, and the count of impacted drivers and vehicles based on current or last known location.

Upcoming Features

  • Live details: Clicking a vehicle shows live status and nearby context directly within the map view.
  • Clear geofences: Geofences are displayed more clearly using improved visual boundaries and markers.
  • Alert notifications for weather events: Fleet manager will receive a single alert notification for a weather event that affects the entities in the groups assigned to the fleet manager. Alert notifications are received via the Fleet App and email.

How does this help our customers?

  • Faster access: Fleet data loads in seconds, reducing delays when opening or refreshing the map.
  • Improved visibility: Real-time updates provide a more current view of vehicle locations for monitoring and coordination.
  • Reduced clutter: Clustering in high-density areas improves map readability by grouping nearby vehicles.
  • Consistent workflow: Synchronized map and list views keep filters, selections, and context aligned across both interfaces.
  • Session continuity: Saved map views allow users to resume work from the same location and zoom level.
  • Role-based views: Customizable asset cards help users focus on the most relevant information for their workflow.
  • In-context data: Live vehicle details and nearby context are accessible directly from the map without switching screens.
  • Improved location clarity: Enhanced geofence visualization makes it easier to understand vehicle movement relative to key areas.
  • Faster severe-weather response: Fleets no longer depend on a single employee monitoring weather apps or news to catch severe events; events are surfaced on the map automatically.
  • Reduced alert fatigue for drivers: Broadcasts go only to drivers actually in the impact area, so drivers stop receiving alerts about events that do not affect them.
