Introduction
Jamming Detection Alerts help fleet managers respond faster when a vehicle may have been targeted with cellular or GPS jamming. When the Engine Immobilizer detects a jamming event and reconnects, Motive sends an alert so fleet teams can review the vehicle and take action quickly.
What’s New?
- New alert type: Fleet admins can now create a Jamming Detected on Vehicle alert.
- Multi-channel delivery: Alerts can be sent by email, SMS, WhatsApp, in-app notification, and push notification.
- Standard alert setup flow: Fleet admins can configure the alert name, vehicles, recipients, and delivery channels using the existing alert setup experience.
- Actionable alert details: The alert includes the vehicle, event date and time, and location when available.
- Direct follow-up path: A View Details link takes fleet managers to the vehicle profile in Fleet View, where they can review the vehicle’s location and details.
- Fleet-wide detection enablement: Jamming detection is enabled across eligible vehicles that have an Engine Immobilizer device.

- Faster response: Security and operations teams get notified soon after connectivity is restored, helping them react more quickly to jamming events.
- Better visibility during theft-related risk: Fleets get a clear signal that a possible jamming event occurred on the vehicle.
- Easier investigation flow: The alert links directly to the vehicle profile in Fleet View so teams can review details and follow internal security protocols.
