Introduction
AI-powered bulk document upload for Vehicle Documents lets fleet users drag and drop up to 500 vehicle document files into Documents in the Fleet Dashboard for AI-powered classification, field extraction, vehicle association, and document creation. This helps fleet users onboard and maintain vehicle compliance files at scale with far less manual effort.
What's New?
- Bulk vehicle document upload: Fleet users can now upload up to 500 PDF, JPG, or PNG files at once from Documents in the Fleet Dashboard instead of uploading vehicle documents one by one. Multiple files can be uploaded for the same vehicle, or multiple files can be uploaded for multiple vehicles.
- AI-powered document processing: For each file that is uploaded, Motive's AI classifies the type of vehicle document, creates a Vehicle Document in Motive, extracts key information from it (e.g., expiration date, VIN), and associates it to a Motive vehicle. The five supported AI-powered vehicle document templates are the Commercial Vehicle Registration, Apportioned Cab Card, Insurance Identification Card, Annual Inspection Report, and Permit.
- Upload History: This new tab shows what was uploaded, each file's status, and a link back to the original uploaded file for traceability.
- Public API: A bulk upload API for vehicle documents is coming soon for system integrations.
