Introduction
A redesigned Live Check-in experience now brings snapshot monitoring and live video into a single, consolidated view. Authorized users can also start a full live stream from any connected AI Omnicam, not just AI Dashcam or AI Dashcam Plus.
What's new?
- Consolidated Live Check-in view. Time-synced thumbnails from every connected camera on a vehicle, with one camera shown large in a "spotlight" view.
- Omnicam live streaming. Start a full live video stream from any connected AI Omnicam, bringing it to feature parity with AI Dashcam and AI Dashcam Plus for real-time video monitoring.
- More resilient snapshots. Tiles auto-refresh and never go blank. The last successful image stays visible, with a timestamp, until the next refresh succeeds.
This appears across:
- Vehicle page (Live tab). Entry point to Live Check-in, same as today.
- Live Check-in view. New consolidated filmstrip and spotlight experience with embedded streaming.
How does this help fleets?
- One view instead of two. No more switching between snapshot check-in and live streaming.
- Full camera coverage. See and stream from every connected camera, including Omnicams.
- Confidence in what you're seeing. Timestamps make it clear how current each image is, even if a refresh fails.
How to access this feature
Open the Live tab on the vehicle page and click the full-screen expand button on the camera image. No new installation is required beyond a functional, connected AI Omnicam.
Permissions required: Live Stream permission. This isn't included in default admin roles, so an admin needs to create or assign it.

Important notes
- Requires Vehicle Gateway firmware v29 or later.
- Omnicam streams do not trigger an in-cab driver alert. AI Dashcam and AI Dashcam Plus streams still do.
- Face-blurring does not work with live streaming. Fleet App support is not included in this release for Omnicam. AI Dashcam and AI Dashcam Plus Fleet App streaming is unaffected.
