How to recall/request video from the Motive AI Omnicam

    Introduction

    Fleet Managers and Fleet Admins can request the AI Omnicam and Dashcam videos together using Fleet Dashboard. The video tiles are titled with their mounting locations for Fleets to better analyze the driving events. Follow the steps mentioned in this article to recall your AI Omnicam and Dashcam videos: 

     

    Steps: Recalling/requesting video from the Motive AI Omnicam 

     

    Request video from AI Omnicam 

    1. Login to the Fleet Dashboard and click Safety in the left-hand side menu. 

    2. The Overview tab displays, click Request Video at the top right corner.

    3. Click Select Vehicle to choose the vehicle for requesting a video. 

    4. Click Select Date and pick the date for which you want to retrieve the AI Omnicam video.

    a. Once selected, the grey bars at the bottom display the availability of the video in blue. 

    b. The grey bars also display helpful annotations for safety events, vehicle stops, and previously requested videos.

    c. The recorded events reflect on the map above this graph.

    5. Use the slider on the graph to select the part of the video you want to request.

    6. Using the Time of Request field at the bottom-left corner, adjust the time and length of the video footage.

    7. Once finished with the selections, click on Request Video at the bottom-right corner.

    A prompt appears on the screen confirming the video request has been sent.

    View a Requested Video

     

    View requested video on Fleet Dashboard 

    1. Login to the Fleet Dashboard and click Safety from the left-hand side menu. 

    2. Select the Requests tab in the Safety Hub. 

    Now, you can view all your requested videos and their current statuses such as Processing and Failed. 

    3. The requests displaying three dots at the top right are ready to Download. Click the three dots on the right side of your requested video. 

    4. Click Download Road Video to save the video on your device for viewing.

    Note: The Motive AI Omnicam and Smart Dashcam don’t support timelapse video requests. 

     

    View requested video via Email 

    1. Once you have requested your video, Motive sends you the requested video in your email. Open the email and click View in Dashboard

    You are now redirected to the Fleet Dashboard with your requested video available to watch. 

    2. Click Request Another Video to recall videos for other driving events. 

    3. Click the < > arrows at the top right corner to easily cycle through all your requested videos.
