Introduction
Fleet Admins and Fleet Managers can use the Fleet Dashboard to Dismiss coaching events with the right permissions. The “Dismissed" events are not included in the Driver Coaching workflow and don’t affect the Safety Score.
Note: Dismissed events don't impact the Driver's Safety Score. |

Setting Permissions to Dismiss Events
1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click the Admin icon at the bottom left corner.
2. Click Fleet Users in the left-hand side menu.
3. Click the Roles & Permissions tab.
4. Select the Role against which you want to allow the permission to Dismiss safety events and click Options in the Actions column.
5. Click Edit from the dropdown menu.
6. The Edit Role screen displays. Click the check box of Dismiss Safety Events.
7. Click Save at the top right corner.
Dismiss Coaching Events
1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click Safety in the left-hand side menu.
2. Click the Events tab.
3. Click to open the event you want to dismiss.
4. Click Pending Review at the top right corner.
5. The dropdown menu displays, click Dismissed.
6. The Dismiss this safety event prompt appears. Click the checkbox to provide the reason for dismissing the safety event.
7. In case the event is being dismissed for some other reason, click Other and enter the reason for dismissal.
8. Click Dismiss.
The confirmation pop-up displays. Once dismissed, Motive adds a note to display who dismissed the safety event and the reason for dismissal in the Notes section.
Dismiss Speeding Events
1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click Safety in the left-hand side menu.
2. Click the Speeding tab.
3. Select the speeding event you want to dismiss
4. Click Pending Review at the top right corner.
5. The dropdown menu displays, click Dismissed.
6. The Dismiss this speeding event pop-up displays, select the reason according to the type of issue faced by the Driver.
7. Click Dismiss.
The confirmation pop-up displays. Once dismissed, Motive adds a note to display who dismissed the speeding event and the reason for dismissal in the Notes section.
Dismiss Events via Coaching
Events can also be dismissed while a Driver is being coached during a coaching session.
1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click Coaching from the left-hand side menu.
2. Select the driver you want to dismiss and click Coach.
3. The Coaching page displays, click Start Coaching.
4. Scroll down to the event video and click Dismiss Event.
5. The Dismiss the safety event pop-up displays. Select the reason for dismissing the safety event.
6. Click Dismiss.
Dismiss Logs with HOS Issues
1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click Compliance in the left-hand side menu.
2. Click Logs.
3. Select the log that has an issue you want to dismiss.
4. In the drop-down status button at the top right, click Dismissed.
5. A pop-up appears. Select a reason for the dismissable.
6. Click Dismiss.
Note: The dismissed log will now be excluded from any future coaching sessions and this driver will not appear in the drivers to coach list. |
