Motive now provides fleet admins with the ability to enable the agriculture exception for ELD drivers. Enabling this exception allows drivers to set an agricultural source in the app and receive proactive notifications when entering or exiting the 150-mile radius from the source. Additionally, any duty status recorded inside the radius is automatically annotated, indicating the use of the agriculture exception.

Enabling and disabling agricultural exception from Driver App

From the Driver App home screen, tap the bottom drawer.

To enable or disable the exception, you can enable or disable the toggle for Agriculture Exemption.
- If you are enabling the Agriculture Exemption, your current location will be selected by default as the agricultural source, with a blue circle indicating a 150 air mile distance from the source.
- To edit the location, you can use the map or search bar to enter another location.

Once done, tap Save location.
Note: Adding an agricultural source requires an active connection with the vehicle gateway and a stable internet connection. You will encounter errors if these conditions are not met.
By default, the exception will be turned off until the driver adds a source location. If you cannot see this option, you can contact your fleet admin or Motive support.

Tap Okay.

When the toggle for Agriculture Exemption turns green, it is enabled.
Note: While the app retains the currently added location locally for an indefinite period, the agricultural exception will be inactive. If a driver re-enables the exception after logging out, internet connectivity is required to access the last added source location in the app. -
Disconnecting from the vehicle gateway later on will also stop the distance tracking from the added source location.
