If a safety event is incorrectly assigned to a driver, it can lead to inaccurate safety scores. This usually happens when a driving trip is mistakenly linked to the wrong driver during a safety event. To fix this, reassign the trip to the correct driver.
Why Reassign a Safety Event?
A safety event may be wrongly linked to a driver if:
- A driving trip was assigned to the wrong driver.
- The wrong safety event was attached to a trip.
By reassigning the trip, the safety event will be correctly associated with the right driver and reflect accurate safety scores.
Steps to Reassign a Safety Event:
Step 1: Log into the Motive Fleet Dashboard
- Open your browser and log into the Motive Fleet Dashboard.
Step 2: Access the Trips Tab
- From the Fleet View section on the dashboard, click on the Trips tab.
Step 3: Filter Trips by Driver
- To narrow down the trips, use the filter option and select the driver’s name.
Step 4: Select the Trip to Reassign
- Scroll through the filtered trips and click on the trip that corresponds to the time of the safety event and needs reassignment.
Step 5: Click the “Reassign” Button
- On the trip details page, select the Reassign button located in the top right corner.
Step 6: Choose the Correct Driver
- Select the correct driver from the drop-down list.
- Choose the appropriate Trip Type.
- Add any necessary Notes for clarification (optional).
Step 7: Assign the Trip
- After confirming the details, click the Assign button to finalize the reassignment.
What Happens After Reassigning?
After reassigning the trip, the safety event will be linked to the correct driver as soon as the trip is accepted, and the safety score will be updated accordingly the following Monday.
