    Introduction

In some vehicles, the Dashcam may be difficult for Drivers to reach, making it inconvenient to press the physical Driver Capture button. To address this, Motive has introduced a Driver Capture button on the Driving Lock Screen in the Motive Driver App. This allows the Drivers to capture video events directly from their mobile devices.

    How Driver Capture Helps You

The Driver Capture button lets Drivers quickly initiate a video capture event from their mobile devices, providing the same functionality as the physical Dashcam button. This feature is especially helpful when the Dashcam is not easily accessible.

    Driver Capture Overview

The Driver Capture button is visible on the Driver App if the following conditions are met:

    • Bluetooth Connection: The mobile device is connected to a Vehicle Gateway.
    • Firmware Version: The Vehicle Gateway is running firmware version 97 or higher.
    • AI Dashcam Connection: An AI Dashcam is connected to the Vehicle Gateway.

Once these conditions are met, a camera icon appears at the bottom of the Driving Lock Screen.
