How to manage permissions for viewing and requesting videos

Introduction

Fleet Admins can customize roles to control access on the Fleet Dashboard. For example, they can create a Safety Coach role to allow users to view requested videos while restricting their ability to only request videos, ensuring a secure workflow.

 

Steps: Managing permissions for viewing and requesting videos

1. Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click the Admin icon on the left-hand side menu.

   

2. Click the Organization dropdown and select Fleet Users from the list.
3. Select Roles & Permissions.
4. Create a new role (for example, safety coach) or modify an existing one.

5. Scroll down to the Safety section.
6. Enable the permission to View Requested Videos.
7. Disable the permission for Request Videos.
8. Click Save.

9. After making the changes, go back to the Users tab.
10. Assign the configured role to the desired users by clicking the three dots.
11. Select Edit roles & groups from the dropdown.

12. Select the role you want to assign from the dropdown.
13. Click Save.
