The Automated Collision Report provides a quick, AI-verified summary of collision events — combining key vehicle, driver, and telematics data in one report.
Overview
The Automated Collision Report combines important details immediately after a collision is detected by the AI and verified by the Motive review team. The report includes vehicle telematics data (speed, braking behavior), location, driver details, video screenshots, and vehicle information. Here’s what your report looks like:
| Note: The automated collision report attaches as a PDF to collision alert emails in the recipients section. Based on the user language preference the PDF will be available in that language. |
Automatically reporting a collision
- Log in to the Fleet Dashboard and click on the Admin icon in the bottom left corner.
- Select Alerts on the left-hand side menu.
- On the Alerts page, click on the + Create Alert button in the top-right corner.
- Under the Alert section, fill in the required details such as Name and select Collision from the drop-down menu in Type.
- Choose the Groups, Drivers, and Vehicles you want to have alerts for. Click on Save Selection.
- Choose the Recipients to whom emails and notifications will be sent or add External Recipients outside your fleet.
- Click on Save.
Customizing Collision Report
1. In Safety, click Events.
2. Filter the Behavior to Collision in the dropdown.
3. Click on the report you want to customize.
4. Click Customize PDF.
5. Click the dropdown to view more features.
6. Check boxes as per requirements in Telematics, Vehicle History, and Driver Performance.
Permissions for reports
1. Click Roles from the left-hand menu.
2. Select the role you want to edit.
3. Under Reports Permissions, turn on Enhanced Collision Report access.
4. Click Export as PDF once done.
