Asset history allows fleet managers to track asset movements, stops, and sensor data over time. It helps monitor usage patterns, improve efficiency, and ensure asset security and condition.

Viewing asset history
To access asset history:
- Go to Fleet View > Live in the Fleet Dashboard
- Search for a specific asset or click on an asset’s name.
- Click the History page to view the asset’s history.
Interpreting the location timeline
The location timeline shows a chronological list of the asset’s movements and stops for the selected day.
Key features:
- Switch between days: Use the date selector to view history for different days.
- Expand trip details: Click any entry to view location, duration, and time.
- View total time: See total time in motion and total time stopped at the top of the timeline.
- Map view: Click on any trip or stop to highlight it on the map for visual context.
Interpreting the map
The Map View displays your asset’s historical movements with key details.
Key features:
- Asset status icons:
- Green: In motion
- Yellow: Idle
- Dark Gray: Stationary
- Light Gray: Stale data
- Arrows and stops: Arrows indicate movement direction, while gray boxes show stop locations.
- Animated playback: Click Play to animate the asset’s movement for the day.
- Map layers: Toggle between views (standard, satellite, terrain) for different data insights.
Viewing asset data
The Asset History page also provides advanced sensor data for your assets:
- Temperature data: Click the Temperature page to view a chart of recorded temperature (and humidity, if available) over time. Hover over the chart to view exact readings.
- Reefer activity: Access the Reefer Activity Report for detailed logs of reefer operation and status.
