Using Drivewyze Integration in Driver App (Android)

The Drivewyze integration in the Motive Driver App streamlines weigh station bypass by eliminating the need for separate logins or manual setup. Once a vehicle-driver pairing is established in Motive, drivers are required to launch Drivewyze from the home screen of the Motive Driver App to trigger automatic login and vehicle setup, providing drivers with a seamless and accurate weigh station bypass experience.

Overview

This feature enhances workflow efficiency, ensures accurate driver-to-vehicle pairing, and facilitates compliance with weigh station regulations without requiring drivers to manage the Drivewyze App separately.

Note: 

  • This integration is currently available only on Android devices. 
  • Drivers must have a Drivewyze account and the Drivewyze App installed on their devices. 
  • Motive Driver App v96 or higher is required to access this feature.
  • If the Drivewyze tile does not appear in the Motive Driver App, the drivers should reach out to their fleet manager for assistance.

Adding the Drivewyze tile in the Driver Hub

For your drivers to see the Drivewyze tile on their Motive Driver App, you must first add it in the Driver Hub through the Fleet Dashboard. The following steps are to be performed by a Fleet Admin. 

  1. Log in to the Motive Fleet Dashboard and navigate to the Admin panel.
  2. Go to Driver App > Driver Hub.
  3. Click +Create Template

  4. Drag and drop the Apps widget to the center.

  5. In the App Links section, enter the following:
    1. App Name: Enter the name of the app: Drivewyze.
    2. App Link: Enter the link or URL of the app: drivewyze://
  6. Click Save

  7. Assign the created template to a driver or group of drivers to access the third-party apps on the Driver App. Once assigned, the driver’s Driver App displays the template on the home screen.

Using Drivewyze Integration in the Motive Driver App

  1. Open the Motive Driver App.
  2. Select your vehicle to ensure the correct vehicle-driver pairing. This enables Motive to sync the vehicle ID with Drivewyze automatically.
  3. Tap the Drivewyze tile in the Apps section on the home screen.

  1. A pop-up appears on the screen to start a new session or stop the current session. Tap Open App to start Drivewyze.

  1. The Drivewyze will open and process the driver’s information.

  1. Upon success, the driver will be taken to the Drivewyze Home Screen.

  1. If all required permissions have already been granted, the driver is automatically redirected back to the Motive Driver App.

  1. The Drivewyze service starts running in the background, enabling weigh station bypass alerts (for subscribed Drivers).

Troubleshooting

If you do not see the Drivewyze app tile on the Motive Driver App, then:

  • Verify the version of the Motive Driver App. 
  • Check if the driver is assigned the appropriate Driver Hub template. 
  • Verify if you have added the correct URL or link: drivewyze://

Check if you performed the steps in the prerequisites section. If the steps are done, and you still do not see the tile, then reach out to Motive Support or the corresponding CSM.
