Introduction
Vehicle Safety Prompts with Alerts enhance the existing DVIR workflow by clearly identifying whether a vehicle or asset is safe to operate and immediately notifying fleet managers when action is required. This update provides end-to-end safety visibility across the Fleet Dashboard and the Driver App.
What’s New?
- Configurable safety prompt in inspection forms: Fleet admins can require drivers to mark vehicles or assets as Safe or Unsafe to drive by enabling the safety prompt within DVIR inspection forms.
- Explicit safety declaration during inspections: At the end of a Vehicle or Asset checklist, drivers must provide a final Yes/No confirmation on whether the equipment is safe to drive after reviewing inspection items such as brakes or fluid levels.
- Safety prompts in Start of Day inspections: During the Start Your Day flow in the Driver App, drivers are prompted to confirm whether the selected vehicle is safe to operate before beginning their shift.
- Blocking alerts for unsafe equipment selection: If a vehicle or asset was previously marked Unsafe due to a major defect, the Driver App displays a blocking alert when a driver attempts to select it.
- Automated alerts for fleet managers: When a vehicle or asset is marked Unsafe, fleet managers receive alerts so they can take immediate action, such as marking equipment out of service or initiating maintenance.
