Introduction
Motive is expanding the standard avatar options available in Motive AI Coach from two corporate-style coaches to eight segment-specific personas. This update provides fleet managers and admins more AI Coach options that feel relatable to different driver segments and industries.
What’s New?
- Expanded avatar library: AI Coach now includes six additional standard avatars on top of the existing default coaches (Coach Chris and Coach Claire), expanding the standard avatar library from two custom AI Coach options to eight in total.
- Segment-specific AI coaches: The new avatars are designed around personas that better reflect different industries and driver segments, including traditional long-haul trucking, local delivery, construction, oil and gas, field service, and agriculture or landscaping.
- Updated coach selection experience: Expanded AI Coach gallery allows fleet admins and managers to browse, preview, and select from a larger set of avatars in custom AI Coach settings.

- Improved AI Coach relatability: Fleets can choose coaches who look and sound more like trusted peers rather than generic corporate avatars, helping coaching feel more authentic and relevant.
- Support for different industries: The expanded avatar set better represents segments such as construction, oil and gas, field services, last mile, agriculture, and landscaping. This helps fleets choose an AI Coach that feels like a better fit for their drivers and day-to-day operations.
