Accessing driving event data
| Note: Compliance-related driving activity is shown separately from operational driving events to make it easier to manage driver logs and maintain accurate records. The Trips page remains focused on tracking driver and vehicle movement and is not tied to duty status changes. |
- Log in to the Fleet Dashboard, and go to Compliance > Driving Events.
- The Driving Events page displays a table of all driving events with details.
- Use filters to customize results.
Viewing driving event profiles
- To view a detailed driving event profile, go to Compliance > Driving Events.
- Click a driving event to open its profile.
- The profile page includes Driver ID, vehicle information, notes, and Driving event details like start/end times and distance.
Assigning unidentified driving events
Unidentified driving events occur when a driver fails to connect to the Vehicle Gateway. These driving events must be assigned to a driver to maintain accurate records.
Note: Trips are strictly vehicle movement now; all compliance context has been removed. Assigning driving events will also assign the associated driving events (and vice versa). If a trip has associated driving events and is being assigned to a Logs driver, the trip will remain in a pending state till the log suggestion is approved or rejected by the target driver to ensure parity in driver identification. |
Assigning an unidentified driving event
- From the Fleet Dashboard, go to Compliance > Driving events.
- In the Driver / ID column, locate and open a driving event with an Unidentified driver.
- Click Assign driver.
- View static information of the selected driving event.
- Select the Driver and add a mandatory Note.
- Click Assign.
- A log suggestion will be created, and the driver's name and ID will appear in yellow. Once the driver approves the log suggestion, the driving event and associated trips will be assigned to the driver and appear on their logs.
Bulk assigning driving events
- From the Fleet Dashboard, go to Compliance > Driving events.
- Select multiple unidentified driving events with checkboxes. You can select up to 50 driving events at a time.
- Click Assign.
- View static driving event information to ensure the right selection of driving events.
- Select the Driver and add a mandatory Note.
- Click Assign.
- In case of any errors during assignment, the reasons will be displayed against each driving event. You can review the errors before trying the assignment again.
- For the assignments that were successful, log suggestions will be created, and the driver's name and ID will appear with yellow dots next to them, indicating that they are pending driver approval and are not yet present on the driver’s logs.
- Once the driver approves the log suggestion, the driving events and associated trips will be assigned to the driver and appear on their logs.
- If the driver rejects the log suggestion, both the driving events and associated trips will revert to their original state before assignment was initiated.
