Introduction
Collision Permissions give fleet admins granular, role-based control over who can view and download collision media, access life-threatening collision content, and manage enhanced collision reports.
What's new?
A new Collisions subsection is now available under the Safety section in Admin > Fleet Users > Roles & Permissions. Fleet admins can configure view and download access separately for non-collision, life-threatening collision, and non-life threatening collision videos. Additionally user can configure granular permissions for Collision reports as well.
A new Collision type filter in the alert creation flow also lets admins route collision alerts to specific roles based on whether the collision is life-threatening, non-life-threatening, or unconfirmed.
How does this help fleets?
- Control collision media access: Separate view and download permissions mean investigators and reviewers can have different levels of access.
- Restrict life-threatening content: Keep First Responder alerts and media limited to designated users only.
- Route alerts precisely: Send life-threatening collision alerts only to the right roles, reducing unnecessary notifications.
How to access this feature
Fleet admins can configure collision permissions from Admin > Fleet Users > Roles & Permissions under the Safety section.

Important notes
- Users who previously had access to permission of ‘View Safety videos/images’ will get access to ‘View Non-collisions and Collisions’ by default. Users who had access to Download safety videos/images previously, will get access to ‘Download Non-collision, Non-Life threatening, Life threatening collisions’. Users who previously had access to permission of ‘View, download, and customize detailed collision report’ will continue to have access to both new permissions of ‘View and download’ and ‘Customize report’.
- Confidential Safety Events permissions continue to apply as a hard gate on top of collision permissions.
- Driver App collision visibility continues to be restricted from Drivers as it is today.
