Performance Hub Coaches tab

Introduction

Motive is introducing a new Coaches tab in the Fleet Dashboard Performance Hub, enabling safety leaders to track the workload and performance metrics of all their coaches in one place. This new tab provides fleets a clear Coaching Score and supporting metrics to evaluate coach performance, identify coaching gaps, and improve driver behavior outcomes.

What’s New?

  • New Coaches tab: Performance Hub now includes a Coaches tab with a filterable view of all coaches and their key performance metrics. For each coach, admins can view their coaching score, number of assigned drivers or groups, repeat events percentage, coached events percentage, dismissed events percentage, and average days to coach.
  • Coaching Score: The Coaches tab shows a daily-refreshing Coaching Score on a rolling 28-day window to show how effectively coaching reduces repeat driver behaviors. Coaching score starts at 100 and drops when a driver repeats a coached behavior within 28 days after coaching, with larger deductions in cases where repeat behaviors occur soon after coaching.
  • Custom coach performance ranges: Fleet admins can customize what counts as Fair, Good, and Excellent coaching score range by updating Coach Performance Ranges from the admin settings.
  • Coach tab permissions: Dedicated permissions for viewing and managing coaching scores are added under a new Performance section when creating or editing permissions for a role.
  • Audit Log: Any changes made to Coach Performance Ranges are recorded in the Audit Log for easy tracking and correction where needed.

How does this help our customers?

  • Objective measuring of coaching quality: Fleets can evaluate coaches based on whether driver behavior improves after coaching instead of relying only on coaching activity volume or completion counts.
  • Faster identification of coaching gaps: Safety and performance leaders can quickly spot coaches who may need support by reviewing coach performance metrics, dismissal behavior, and coaching turnaround in one place instead of relying on manual exports.
  • Addition of workload context: Visibility into assigned drivers and groups gives safety and performance leaders better context when comparing coaches with different workloads.
  • Improved consistency and accountability: Custom score ranges, role-based controls, and audit logging help fleets standardize how they evaluate coaching performance and track changes over time.
