Introduction
To pair your mobile device to the Motive Vehicle Gateway (ELD), you need to ensure that your mobile device is Bluetooth-enabled.
Steps: Connecting/pairing mobile device to Vehicle Gateway/ELD
- Connect/pair to Vehicle Gateway/ELD via Bluetooth on Android
- Connect/pair to Vehicle Gateway/ELD via Bluetooth on iOS
- Connect/pair Driver App to a Vehicle/Vehicle Gateway/ELD
Connect/pair to Vehicle Gateway/ELD via Bluetooth on Android
1. From your device’s home screen, tap Settings.
2. Tap Bluetooth within Connections.
3. Ensure the toggle bar is switched to On.
4. After the BT is turned on, search for the Motive ELD device name (this is the S/N number at the back of the ELD). Select the relevant ELD S/N on the available devices list and pair on the Bluetooth.

1. Tap Settings from your device’s home screen.
2. Tap Bluetooth.
3. Ensure the toggle bar is switched to On.
4. After the BT is turned on, search for the Motive ELD device name (this is the S/N number at the back of the ELD). Select the relevant ELD S/N on the available devices list and pair on the Bluetooth.
Connect/pair Driver App to a Vehicle Gateway/ELD
1. Log into the Driver App and tap Logs.
2. Tap NO VEHICLE to connect with your Vehicle Gateway.
3. A list of your company’s vehicles appears. Select the vehicle that you want to connect to.
4. Select the accessory and your device attempts to connect to the Vehicle Gateway using Bluetooth.
Note: Wait for thirty seconds to one minute for your Vehicle Gateway to appear in the list. |
5. A green icon appears at the top right of the Logs screen to indicate a successful connection.
Note: The right LED light on the Vehicle Gateway/ELD should turn green as an indication of a successful connection with mobile. |
