    How to use Vehicle Follow Mode on Fleet Dashboard

    Introduction

    Fleet Managers and Fleet Admins can enable vehicle Follow mode from their Fleet Dashboard. 

     

    Note: For the users who are not enabled to use the ELD product, the Follow Mode button does not display. The map style in this case defaults to user preference.

     

    Steps: Using Vehicle Follow Mode on Fleet Dashboard

    1. Log into the Motive Fleet Dashboard. The Fleet View displays. Select a vehicle using the search bar, and other filters.

    You can also select a specific vehicle of your choice on the Vehicles tab on Fleet View. Clicking on a vehicle takes you to the vehicle’s detail page with the Live tab opened by default.

     2. Click on the Enter Follow Mode button at the bottom of the map.

    Note: If you pan the map, it will automatically exit the Follow Mode. You can view the vehicle details mentioned on the vehicle's page displaying speed, fuel, etc. for some vehicles.

     

    3. In order to exit the Follow Mode, click on Exit Follow Mode at the bottom of the Map.

    4. The Exit Follow Mode button simply toggles to Follow Mode as soon as the mode is disabled which would be in these cases:
    • The entity is stationary
    • The user clicks on the Exit Follow Mode button
    • The user pans the map while Follow Mode is enabled.
