Dispatch management in the Motive Driver App helps drivers stay on track and maintain clear communication with their fleet. From accepting assignments to marking deliveries complete, all dispatch actions can be managed seamlessly in one place. Key features include:
- Centralized access: View both active and completed dispatches in the app, providing a quick overview of your tasks and progress.
- Simple workflow: Accept, start, and complete tasks with just a few taps, making it easy to stay on schedule and efficient throughout the day.
- Real-time communication: Message dispatchers instantly and submit forms, such as delivery receipts or logs, when needed for smooth operations.

Viewing dispatches
You can access dispatches from two places in the app:
- From the home screen, tap the Dispatches tile for a quick overview, or
- Go to Menu > Dispatches for full details
Each dispatch includes a list of stops, along with status, load information, addresses, scheduled times, and tasks. Tap a stop to view its specific details.
Starting a dispatch
Open the Driver App and go to Dispatches
- Select the assigned dispatch from the list
- Review the details and tap Accept
- When ready to begin, tap Start Dispatch
Completing a dispatch
- Open the active dispatch and select the current stop
- Complete any assigned tasks (for example, photo uploads or notes)
- Tap Complete Stop after finishing each location
- Repeat for all stops
- When the final stop is complete, tap Complete Dispatch
Additional dispatch tools
While managing dispatches, you can also:
- Submit forms: Tap Forms within a dispatch to complete breakdown reports, fuel stops, or exceptions (if enabled by your fleet)
- Message dispatchers: Tap the Messages icon inside the dispatch to ask questions or report issues in real time
- View completed dispatches:
- Open the Motive Driver App.
- Go to Menu.
- Tap Dispatches.
- Select Completed to view your completed dispatches.
