Device Time Incorrect (iOS)

    Symptom

    When logging into the Driver App, the driver receives a prompt saying incorrect device time and logs out of the Driver App.

     

    Cause

    iOS updates cause optimizations to achieve maximum battery performance.

     

    Solution

    1. Turn the Vehicle's engine OFF.
    2. Unplug the Motive Vehicle Gateway from either end.
    3. Log out from the Motive Driver Application by clicking the 3 lines in the top left corner & scrolling to the bottom,  click Log out
    4. Open Settings of your iPhone/iPad
    5. Click General

             

    1. Select Date & Time

                

    1. Disable the Toggle button that says Set Automatically

    1. Turn off any WiFi, internet, or mobile data source on your device
    2. Reboot/Restart your iPhone/iPad. 
    3. Open Settings on your iPhone/iPad and turn on WiFi, internet, or mobile data source on your device
    4. Select General settings
    5. Select Date & Time
    6. Enable the Toggle button that says Set Automatically

    1. Open Bluetooth Settings on your iPhone/iPad and Connect with the Motive Vehicle Gateway.
    2. Log into the Driver App and connect to the Current Vehicle.
